Dad Says School Duct-Taped Son's Pants (To keep them from sagging)
{
DUNLAP, Ind. - An outraged father of a seventh-grader says an assistant principal duct-taped his son's pants to keep them from sagging then sent him back to class.

Scott Allison told the Concord School Board on Monday that his 12-year-old son, Spencer, said last week that a teacher asked him to lift his shirt after she noticed the boy's underwear was showing above his pants, a violation of Concord Junior High School's dress code.

She sent him to Assistant Principal Patricia Walters, who told Spencer to pull up his pants and tuck in his shirt, Allison said.

"She then proceeded to duct tape his waist, three times around the waist," said Allison. "Then she sent him back to class, in front of his peers."

I find it terribly ironic that kids who sag their pants tend to use anti-homophobic terms alot... someone should teach them what sagging the pants REALLY used to mean.

2. FLASHBACK!!!
1st grade, I couldn't tie my damn shoes... My dad threatened me with "if you can't tie those by tomorrow I'll tape em to your damn feet"...

Dad was the shoe tier in the house and fought with me every morning over it.

The next day I couldn't do it. He wrapped each shoe in duct tape and sent me to school.

I came home with the skill necessary to tie my shoes. Two of my friends helped me work out the mechanics of it.

4. So what's the problem?
Don't nobody need to see no damn teenagers walking around with their ass all hangin' out, beggin' ya' for no damned three fiddy. Back in my day, when we got pantsed in gym class, we were properly mortified! These damned punk ass scaverers. These ass-flauntin' teenagers need to have their shit taped up!

5. The world has gone mad
I wonder if the guy would have complained as loudly if the school called him and asked him to leave work to come and pick up his son and not have him return to school until he dresses appropriately.

I'm sorry, hiney pants, belly shirts and boobie blouses don't belong in our schools.

Guess I'm just an old fart.

6. It's not just the "old farts."
I'm 17, and its ridiculous. School attire isn't particularly important to me, as long as it doesn't cause a disturbance. Seriously, though, this guy needs to chill the hell out. The only thing hurt was this kid's pride.

11. Oh my, yes, call the parents.
Old fart here, giving respect to poster 6. Parents just love to hear something along these lines:

Your student has been sent to me for violating the school's dress code, with which you and the student have both agreed, in writing, to abide by. The student has now lost credit for attendance in 1st hour. Your student will need to make up the missed work. We have appropriate clothing to offer students at school, and we lend this to students, but wish for it to be returned. Your student has declined to accept the school's offer, as the clothing is not preferred. This is now the choice. 1. You come to school with clothing that meets our student dress code. The student will be doing classwork in the office, but missing classroom instruction. 2. You come and take the student home so that the student may return, as soon as possible, dressed in accordance with our dress code. They will not get attendance credit for as long as they are off school grounds. Classwork must be completed. 3. You come and take the student home for the day. This absence is also unexcused. An unexcused absence means that the student will not be given credit for attendance and will not be given credit for missed work, although they still must complete it and turn it in. The teacher has discretion to grant 50% credit. OR 4. Instruct your student to wear the offered clothing which will keep your student in compliance with the dress code, thereby avoiding the cost of incomplete attendance and classwork credit. I am very sorry to have inconvenienced you with this matter when you are at work. Perhaps we can talk again soon when things are better.

Do you wish to speak with your student and decide the choice?
