What is your favorite non-talk radio station?
Mine is WBCN in Boston. I miss that so much while I'm at school. It just gives me such comfort having it on. I find nothing here quite as relaxing or enjoyable or cool.

3. I live in between NY and Philly
so you would think that there would be a great kick ass rock station that plays an eclectic mix of great music...but no all the stations play the same 5 songs over and over, so I stick to CD's

INDEPENDENT, LOCAL R&B spanning the decades.

Great on-air personalities, too.

15. The late, great REV105
Edited on Thu Sep-23-04 10:19 PM by RatTerrier
The last great radio station out of Minneapolis.

There will never be anything else even close to it. If DU had a radio station, it would probably sound something like this.

More aircheck links there, in case you ever feel nostalgic about 93.7 The Edge.

17. KPFT in Houston, Texas
which happens to be one of the half dozen or so Pacifica stations. I was kinda out of the loop but a while back Pacifica got taken over by a bunch of assholes. Our local station went from being progressive to like a country music haven. Thank goodness a couple of years ago the progressives who were in charge before took back the stations. Before I got my news from NPR but no longer. I'd rather listen to Amy Goodman and the like any day of the week.

21. XRT's a good station
Sure wish we had something like that 90 miles north.

Other than that, there are very few good radio stations anymore. Many of them are too slick, bland and corporate.

I do like Indie 103.1 out of LA, though.
