Ick...they put sugar in my coffee....

Every day I order a large coffee with just cream at Dunkin Donuts.

Today I get to work with it and take a sip and they made it light and sweet with sugar. Ugh.

The thing is I used to drink it this way every day for years but stopped once I needed to lose weight.

Back in the olden days as a kid I loved sweetened coffee milk (as I called it). Now I can't stand even the thought of sweetened coffee with or without cream! Our tastes certainly do change over time for one reason or another.

2. Tastes in food do change, don't they?

I can think of several things I can't stand anymore that I used to love as a kid:

1. eggs

2. mayonnaise

3. grape jelly - especially the really cheap, gritty kind loaded
with sugar that "crunches" when you eat it.

4. "white" bread - no nutritional value, might as well eat paste.

PS - I don't care for sugar in coffee (or ice tea) either!

That is all I ate as a kid. Probably because it was all my mom bought, but still I did like it.

Now there is no way in the world I would put grape jelly on anything.

4. Dunkin' Donuts Has Disgusting Coffee

or maybe it's not the coffee so much as the fact that they add the cream and sugar themselves rather than letting you do it, and always add three times too much. It always tastes that there's a half a can of Cremora in it.

I think they have the best coffee around. Of course, i take it with nothing added, so maybe that's why. I think it's rich, not overroasted, & full bodied.

I would rather have their coffee than Starbuck's any day of the week.

but I'm not a fan of black coffee. I just wish they would let the customers put the stuff in.

5. I Never Used Sugar Either

To me, it flat ruins the taste. I LIKE the taste of coffee. I don't want anything to change it. So, sugar in coffee is a first class no-no.

I used to add creamer. But, i quit doing that shortly after college. Been probably been drinking it as is for about 25 or more years.
