7. The Thing looks like a giant turd.

Note to 20th Century Fox: At least do something about the texture and color of the Things skin. In the comics he had more of an orange "rock" like appearance.

8. Mr. Fantastic: a 23 year old with white shoe polish at his temples?
Edited on Thu Sep-23-04 11:20 AM by Richardo
Either hire the middle-aged actor Reed Richards is supposed to be, OR dispense with the grey hair. That looks like high-school play makeup. :eyes:

Plus his name looks like a bad Scrabble tray ("What the hell can I make out of 'IOANGRUFFUD"*)?

* Answer: 'FRAUD FUNGI'

10. The character of Reed is supposed to be 30. Gruffud is older than that
I don't get why you're re-imagining the story. The only actors who are the wrong ages for how old the characters were in their origins are the guy playing Johnny, about 4 years too old, and the guy playing Ben Grimm, about 10 years too old.

Doom, Ben, and Reed were all about 30 in the origin. Reed has premature graying.

11. Ah. As drawn, Reed looked a lot older than 30.

And I always thought it was cool that there was this 'father figure' involved (kinda like Jonny Quest). But I was never more than a casual reader, and it was many (many!) years ago.

So I'm not re-imagining, I'm remembering from the POV of a 12-14 year old.

And I STILL think his temples look like hokey white shoe polish.

9. "Streak" is right -- they're all uniformly showing red x's! ;)
