First time I saw that was on HBO when I was 12. Scared the crap out of me.

3. Great movie!
Did you know there's a remake in the works?

Sounds terrible, though.

7. Info on the remake
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0423512/

Warriors, The (2006)
Directed by Tony Scott

Writing credits
Terence Winter (screenplay)

Plot Outline: Framed for the killing of a top gang leader during a time of peace, The Warriors have to evade nearly every gang in town if they ever want to see their home turf again.

From what I've heard, it doesn't sound good. I read something about the makers of the remake going in a martial arts/Matrix direction. Bad idea. The Warriors could be remade, but they really have to capture the cheesiness, grittiness and simplicity of the original, weird gangs and all.

8. Same guy that played Jerry Horne on "Twin Peaks"
Really weird actor..."The Warriors" was one of my favorite teenage drive-in movies...I still have the soundtrack!!! And the DJ ("Hello Boppers!") was later on the Carmen Sandiego show!!!

Just filled with useless trivia today...must have been the avatars...

Did you know the guy who played Ajax was recently a recurring character on "Sex and the City"?

And the female detective on the park bench is Mercedes Ruehl?

Here's a site with lots of useless trivia about that great movie:

15. I found the site last weekend
By coincidence, one of the pay channels was showing the movie, and I remember enjoying it way back when. Hence, I did a little surfing.

12. Yeah, I think there were gang problems...
Of course, I saw it at a drive-in in Winslow Maine, so not much problem of that up here :)
