3. I was somewhat disappointed
The guitar riffs and the chorus are catchy as hell, but Bono's singing on two notes throughout the verses gets pretty old pretty quick. Great, safe choice for a first single, but I'm definitely going to be pissed if I waited 4 years for an album full of uninspired songs like "Vertigo."

4. I think U2 has gotten really LAME
They have made some great albums in the past. My fav, and what i consider to be their most creative album, is Zooropa. Totally out of this world. After that, Pop was weak and their last album was a total revertment to their older style, which appeals more to the masses. I want U2 to go crazy and push us over the edge with thier awesome tallent!

5. Pop was great!
They've got some great songs hidden in there - Gone, Last Night on Earth, If You Wear That Velvet Dress, Please...

I used to HATE that album, but then I decided to give it a spin one day and discovered there was a lot more to that record than I initially thought. There really are some great melodies and lyrics in there.
