Can anyone recommend a good wine?
I like them red and dry. And reasonably priced because I have to drink a lot of it during this Bush Admin.

15. You are totally right
No wimpy wines from these guys. And they come from Sonoma, not Napa. Important distinction from a Sonoma kid!

2. If you have Trader Joe's near you.....................
try their "Two-buck Chuck", Charles Shaw...........the merlot and cabernet sauvignon are very nice wines, more like $10 taste. Only $1.99.........best-kept secret in town.

14. I second that
Trader Joes ROCKS for reasonably priced but very good wine. And they always have stuff from all over that you don't see anywhere else. And...the one in my neighborhood says we can register voters in front of their store. Very cool.

Not sure what you consider reasonably priced, I think it is between $20 - $30 bottle.

7. Any Beaulieu Vineyards Claret
The more you pay, the better and older the red. My fave is an old Napa Valley standby, Beaulieu Vineyards. Also, Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon. Hard to go wrong. Probably about $15 for a non-estate bottled vintage, but still mighty good, mighty yummy.

8. Rosemount (SE Australia) Cabernet/Shiraz 2003.
Sensational and only $6-7 a bottle.

I tried a bottle about 6 months ago and have drunk no other red since.

17. If you buy a 30-day wine kit...
You'll be ready with about 30 good, cheap bottles before you know it!

Less messy if you have a U-brew in your neighbourhood.
