Rant for the day!!! So Avis merged with Budget Rental...Badf!!

Of course every merger means poorer service and less for your money.
We had previously rented always from Avis...they had great cars, great service and sattelite radio for their premium (GM) cars. Now that they have merged, their cars are Fords and of course, there is no sattelite radio at the "premium level." I swear corporations in this country are the worse. Consumer be damned!! Take what we offer or leave it!

We only learned about the switch when we went to pick up our car this morning. I guess, I'll just stay home and play with our toys after this trip. I wonder what the hotel has in store for us?

2. Well that is interesting. Our local Budget Rental outfit near

a recent Bush rally was charging Republicans $10 to park in its lot, and Democrats $15. Guess who won't be buying or renting from them.

I thought about getting some local activists to mob the place at once, all acting as though we were going to buy their cars, take the sales staff away from real customers for about an hour or so, then just about the time to sign the papers, inform them of the consequences of their poor choice. But then, I am pretty busy these days...
