TROY -- Oakwood Cemetery's biggest boosters are a little scared: not of ghosts but that some people will think they are ghouls.

Make that "Calendar Ghouls."

To raise money for the cash-strapped cemetery, whose 60,000 deceased residents outnumber the living in Troy, the cemetery's board lifted an idea from the film "Calendar Girls" and posed some of the Capital Region's most prominent residents seemingly naked in the cemetery.

Emphasis on the seemingly: In fact, they are wearing tiny bits of attire that don't show up in the photographs.

"Are we scared? Yes," said Terry Page, president of the Oakwood Cemetery board of trustees. "The thing is that it really is an illusion. It had to be dignified."
