Some dancehall in there too....

I could use a bag of weed too. Goddamned Park Chung Hee's son had to go and get marijuana made illegal in South Korea....

12. I find him pretty amusing
Although I don't understand most of his slang. A radio DJ friend of mine who's from the Carribean says his lyrics are so filthy, he can hardly play any of his stuff on the air.

7. Dude. I've been looking for 'Arab Oil Weapon' by Bunny Wailer...
Edited on Fri Sep-24-04 01:14 PM by htuttle
...for many years.

Two weeks ago, I was able to download 2/3 of it from LimeWire, but haven't seen it again.

Do you have it? (not asking you to give it to me -- just wondering what CD you found it on). It was originally released as a single. I heard it was on 'Wiser Dread', but haven't been able to find a discography of that to check.

Great song. Great lyrics. :)

in Wales just played with his band, at a gig where Desmond Dekker and his support group topped the bill. DD's most famous in the UK for a really original kind of hit he sang called The Israelites. I believe he wrote it too.

Unsurprisingly, the West Indian immigrants came to view the UK as Babylon, so that song, The Israelites, could have been based on that notion. I tend to only catch a phase or two of songs.
