6. "Bands you miss"
Gothic_Sponge:
Can't say I ever heard of Lush; I must be a lot older than you. MY list begins and ends with the amazing Pink Floyd.
...which would also be the band I most regret never having seen.

17. I saw MBV in DC on their first american tour...
A really good show...I remember that a bunch of my "Anglo-music" friends were raving about the band but I hadn't heard them...it was quite the glorious wall of psychedelic noise...

22. Even better because I had no expectations...
Quite honestly, I wasn't a big fan of much of the British Indy stuff from the period (Sarah records & their ilk), so I was really surprised by how good they were...I now own EVERYTHING I can find by them :)

They haven't done anything since 1997, and I'm even sure if they're still together. But they were really, really good.

23. Really?
Are you sure you're not getting them confused with Radiohead? Because I talked to someone once who said he doesn't like Portishead as much since they got a male singer, and it turned out he was thinking about Radiohead.

But where did you hear that? That's awesome news.

21. I was a big fan of theirs, but I was glad they broke up when they did.
I think their last album was just embarrassing. It had a few good tracks ("Heavy Metal Machine" is awesome) but for the most part it was just Billy Corgan stroking his ego so much that I had a really hard taking the album seriously.

But they were GREAT around 1993-97.
