1. The best gin
By far. Still, I prefer it with an olive, or some lime.

3. I had both shots together in a glass, with olives.
("Two shots" = I measured them, to ensure that, well...this wouldn't happen.)

2. Amazing
I have been drinking same (not now, but lately) and noticing an amplified effect due to shrub-related stress disorder.

6. Maybe that's it.
Or maybe my tolerance really hasn't improved as I thought it would.

4. Hon, throw an olive in that shot glass next time.

Cuts down on the drunk effect. ;)

On edit: whoops, just read post #3. In that case, you'll need to quickly pour two more shots, toss in an olive, and bottoms up! :D

7. Two olives.
I'm not really sure what the hell is going on...oh well.

11. Well, this post will likely cause the entire thread to crash and burn,
but if it's that time of the month, it can also accentuate the effects of alcohol. On top of an empty stomach, and if you downed the shots in one gulp, you could have a serious buzz going on!

5. Have you eaten?
I can get tipsy on a couple of small drinks if I haven't eaten.

It's either that, or hedges is trying to take advantage of you...again.

8. I haven't done dinner yet, but I have eaten reasonably today.
Hedges probably doesn't want to take advantage of me today...trust me on this one.

9. If it's been more than 4 or 5 hours since lunch, your stomach is empty.
Or pretty much so...

10. Well, yes...but, still.
This is pretty unreasonable.

It's weird -- my eating (and drinking) habits are much worse when I travel, but I never really end up drunk while on a business trip.

13. What is it about business travel?
I never seem to get drunk on business, either.

Or, maybe everyone else is drunk, too, and I don't notice.

14. I think you're on to something.
Honestly...the night of the Steve Bartman Cubs game last year, I attended a hospitality (then went to a hotel bar with a friend) and drank a gin and tonic, two severely overfilled glasses of a high-alcohol Zin (for those of you who don't know wine -- the red packs a punch; the "white' isn't wine at all), and then a couple of glasses of port...and this was maybe between 8 and 11...and, nothing.

15. You Have Great Taste In Gin.

Try a Sapphire martini, not dry, but very slightly dirty(too much olive juice makes them too salty), with a couple of big olives stuffed with blue cheese. Drink of the gods.......

19. Not familiar.
We've got some Seagram's (mixer), Tanqueray 10 and Bombay here.

What's the story on Old Raj?

20. Dunno--had it at my brother's, so it probably costs something outrageous
He's deeply into high quality, complex-tasting liquor, but he eats nothing but pizza and hamburgers. Go figure. :)
