We will go next week and fill up the feeders again. There has been a lot of rain in Menard County this year and there is still a lot of green left. Everything is not totally burned up from drought. A lot of deer and turkey too this year. Some deers from years gone past:

There is a guy in Pflugerville Tx that makes it from his old family German recipe. He is so busy after about the 3rd week in Nov you have to make an appointment to drop off meat for processing.

12. I've been considering whether I should go hunting this year

Haven't gone dear hunting in about 14 years. I've missed it, though I don't know why, since the couple times I did go I never got one. But I was pretty young, and even though the entire extended famuily hunted, it wasn't that interesting to me.

But it is interesting to me now.

Should I go? Our family farm always has a lot of deer, and most of my relatives get one or more dear every year.

but then, I don't have a freezer...but on the other hand, I love venison...
