No, I'm just fuckin' with you. I'm a Dem, and I'm an egomaniac.

8. That's what I thought, but for some reason it doesn't fit.
Being altruistic, just sounds to negative. To my mind, an altruistic person will help others to the detriment of themselves.

15. Thanks....
I have been reading the forum... lurking for a few weeks. My mom is a big fan. I feel the need to gain hope and comfort that we will win this election. I am in a fairly conservative community in WI. The freaking "W" trash I see on a daily basis scares me.

Comfort me, tell me there IS hope...

A co-worker (republican) told me that the reason he's voting republican is due to the fact that he fears that if a national healthcare/prescription plan is developed by a liberal, his 6 year-old child will not be able to get medication that she is currently taking... and he thinks of his family when he goes to the polls.

I told him that I think of MY family and his. My child is 13 1/2. The thought of the quagmire in Iraq developing in the same manner is has been, and the horrific thought that he could be placed into that situation in the not-so-distant future is on the forefront of my mind.
