i survived hurricane ivan

greetings from pensacola, still dont have power back here yet, running on a generator and a modem (dont ask me how the phone lines still work, havent a clue) should have full power tomorrow or the next day, its really nasty here, trees down everywhere, giant piles of branches, limbs, trunks, and various other debris infront of every house, trees and tarps on manny roofs, but things are getting back to normal, and i want to thank ohio edison, Qubec power and all the others who have come here to help restore power

I adopted Pensacola as my temporary home when I was hiding from Frances, and I was greatly saddened to see photos of the devastation there. Of course now we on the east coast of FL have Jeanne breathing down our necks. Wish us luck.

8. There were times like this when a box fan would have been a luxury.

Once, I had to fill up a bath tub in order to fall asleep, mostly submerged... wasn't easy trying to sleep while it was in the upper 80s at night with 100% humidity. I DEFINATELY understand your pain.

9. the first few nights i had to sleep

in 120 degee heat, my arms all cut up and sweat stinging the hell outta them, still on generator, the power guys hit a hard spot today and the asplundh guys have come on (about 200 tree branches a guy piled up on some down lines)

how long ago was ivan..i`ve been working way to much the last few weeks. shit we complain when a lightning storm knocks out the power for a few hours.
