5. I didn't make a big deal out of my 21st.

I went to a pub that served a lot of micro-brew-type beer (Ashley's in Ann Arbor, Michigan) with a friend and only had one beer. It was the dawning of the beer-snob era (mid-90s).

13. It'll pass. It takes time to

meet new people. So either you will sooner or later, or you'll end up moving again. Boston is a beautiful city. You're lucky to be there.

Once I was in your shoes, many years ago, and I still remember the feeling to this day. I was so, so lonely for awhile. But it doesn't last. If you work at a large place, that should help by putting you in contact with more people. If you don't work at a large place, you may have to join some things....like a bicycle club, maybe? Or a gym? Or a political group?
