I rescued a hummingbird today. Poor thing had been in our shed for the last thirty-six hours, looking for a way out. I tried using a barrier to force it down lower and toward the door, but it kept getting confused and flying back up and to the back of the shed.

This morning I placed some sweetened red water in a clear container down low and just outside the door, but with the sun shining on it. That must have done the trick as the Ruby-throat is gone now.

BTW, I don't ever advocate for dyeing sugar water, but I needed the color to attract the bird out.
