Any fans of Universal's "The Invisible Man" (1933)?
James Whale's "The Bride of Frankenstein" is acknowledged as the crown jewel of the Universal monster movies. But for my money, Whale topped himself with "The Invisible Man". Claude Rains is truly one of the great villains of cinema; the movie is overflowing with some of the darkest humor of the classic era--like the scene wherein the mad scientist knocks a baby carriage over and laughs maniacally.

This movie rocks.

1. Excellent movie. Better than Bride of Frankenstein, IMO.
I don't know what other movies Whale did, though.

4. Prince John and the French Police Chief in Casablanca
Shows how Claude Rains could steal a show. Even his appearance in Lawrence of Arabia shows how shifty he could portray in a character.
