when they hired him, I asked what the hell he had accomplished. Yeah yeah, he took some teams to the playoffs, but that was like twenty freaking years ago. Marty's greatest claim to fame is getting scoreboarded on "The Drive". The team will continue to suck as long as the Spanos' retain ownership, and they will never give up their equivalent of the trophy wife.

4. The Charger run defense looks pretty damn good today

Denver has been forced totally out of character, a 2/1 ratio of pass over run and 29 yards rushing. Griffith has -1 yard rushing.

Maybe Denver is just trying to get Plummer comfortable out of a 4 wideout, no back set and think they can handle San Diego regardless, almost like a glorified scrimmage. It's 23-13 Denver with 11 minutes left.

6. This team has been unwatchable since...

...that POS Alex Spanos bought it from Gene Kline. I finally gave up my season tickets ofter 25 years last year.

They treat the fans like dirt, they have not done a decent draft in I don't know how long, They give away star players like Seau and Harrison, and the idiot continues to recycle NFL garbage like Beathard, Butler, and Shottenheimer.

The last straw for me getting an extremely hard time from the ticket office when trying to move my seats a couple of sections over, and getting a refusal to do so from the ticket office. Mind you, I have had season tickets since 1979! The next day Alex Spanos was on his good buddy Rush Limbaughs show, telling everyone how great he was. At that point I decided that jerk was not getting another penny of my hard earned money.

Lifelong fan, can remember when Fouts was a rookie in the '73 season and they climbed towards Air Coryell Glory in the late 70's/early 80's.
