Hubby's going to have nervous breakdown...the BoSox are back in as
"Wild Card?" He felt the BoSox were out just a couple of days ago...and he's so down over the election he's thinking it's like Yankees=Bush and they are going to win.

He's working with me to get Kerry elected but has his depressions about politics like the rest of us.

But, I can't live with him when the BoSox come back. I told him to forget about them...I can't handle two "underdogs" at the same time. Besides I hate professional sports...and think his BoSox obsession is going to make him ill...:-(

(I don't think they will make the series...but if they do, then I think Kerry will win). Some kind of similarity with Dems and BoSox.

1. youve got a great husband koko! we beat the evil empire today
and there is most definitely a clear parallel between red sox/yankees and kerry/bush.

the red sox are definitely in as a wild card at the very least. and he can do like me, IF the red sox dont make it into the world series, you just root hard for whomever is playing the yankees
its worked for 3 straight years!

go kerry and go sox! were with you all the way

2. He couldn't see the game today but just heard and yelled as it scrolled
by under FLA hurricane coverage...But just two days ago he told me..."It's all over....only wildcard will save them...but it's over."

This sounds like depression to me followed by mania when they win.

He's a great hubby...it's his obsession over the BoSox who are always on the edge waiting to go at another World Series that gets to me...year after year...after year...after year.

It wears me down....but I do try to live with it...it's just so depressing when they get so close and some damned mistake flubs it at the end. It's too close to my beloved Dems who blow it when things are so close. It gets me crazy to have this going on with the election..

But, I'm just one of those uptight folks who can only deal with one cause at a time...:D

3. no wonder! you both have two of the hardest fights going on
at the same time! that must be stressful

the game was on espn 2 i thought... but again, they are in as wild card. and ive thought a few times myself that as long as kerry gets in (and i think it will happen) then ill trade in the red sox this year with no problem. im even willing to let the yankees win if it comes to that!

i dont know if your husband is comforted by the yankees (or other team) getting beat, but they sure have some weak spots this year so im hopeful as usual that they will fall by the wayside.
the sox have a very good team.

i do feel for you though. remember i told you i got too involved with the state of the world, and that included sports which is never a good idea! it took me a long time to stop the downs associated when my team would manage to lose the game. which happened way too often.

take care of yourselves. and please take some deep breaths!
just know we are ALL in this together! we are one very large tent....
