Question: Was American Bandstand filmed in Philadelphia?
I am watching American Dreams on TV now, one of my new favorite shows. One of the recurring story lines is that the daughter Meg is a dancer on American Bandstand. The show American Dreams is set in Philadelphia. I have very little living memory of that show (it went of the air in 1987, and it's quality declined markedly in the 1980's). Any 1960's veterans remember where the show was filmed?

2. Yes
It started in Philly, and moved to Los Angeles many years later, where it finished its run.

So the show is being historically accurate on that count.

6. Yep!
The studio was only a half-block away from West Catholic, which is the real "East" Catholic.
