I need some "new car" gift ideas (63 Falcon)...
So my traveling companion is finally bringing home her '63 Falcon on Tuesday, and parking it in my driveway for a spell. She's been saving up forever to get this car, and I'd like to get her a little somethin'.

Anyone have any ideas for a gift or two to leave in it for her to discover? Basket of fruit? Windex? Bear in mind I'm on the poor side these days. :)

1. A nice set of floor mats
or one of those trash can sets to put between the front seats might be nice.

4. A flame job
or if that's too pricey, fuzzy dice impart a subtle, piquant rodder vibe for pennies on the dollar.

You didn't tell us what condition the car was in.

6. It actually looks great
She claims it drives great, too... it's one of those finds everyone talks about, been sitting in some farmer's barn for years, she's had it in getting for new hoses and such. Way cool.

7. Fuzzy dice?
probably not, eh?

How about a new key chain, or some neat floor mats, or a car care basket (Armor All, air fresheners, chamois cloth, turtle wax, etc)?

8. That was my though, too.
I grew up with a Falcon stationwagon.

However, ours had no seat belts. Might be above your affordability level, but maybe those could be a good addition?

Loves it.

He got it for a song - probably because it has a few sour notes. ;-)

How about a car cover $40.00

Or an ad to frame $1.75

A car cleaning kit - I've seen them at auto parts stores. Or you could make your own personal 'gift bucket' - soap, sponge, window cleaner, a roll of paper towels, armorall, wax and a chamois in a bucket - ON EDIT - I see MissMillie beat me to this one.

Maybe a gift certificate for an oil change

the soundtrack from "Grease"

Really like the fuzzy dice idea -

17. I second the car care products.
Eagle One has a bucket full of good stuff for about $50.

The car cover will come in handy as well, if the car is to be parked outside.

Classic cars rule!

13. A copy of Hemmings Motor News
An early-sixties Ford will eventually need some early-sixties parts. Hemmings is the place to get them.

18. disco!
i was gonna say a stack of catalogs from restoration parts dealers. if she's a real good friend, an overdrive tranny would do wonders for that car. i just picked up a 61 falcon 2 door wagon for my girlfriend.

15. I always needed this for my '65 Falcon:
cardboard in winter in front of the radiator so the water gets hot and the interior of the car warms up.
