So, I'm graduating in December...
...and I still have no idea what I'm going to do. My degree will be in Criminal Justice, with a minor in child development (I basically made up my own Juvenile Justice Degree). Anyway, I have a whole world open to me in Criminal and Juvenile Justice. I have no idea what I want to do. Can someone please give me some ideas!? Also, note, that in the state of Oklahoma, you don't have to have a specialized degree to be a social worker.

1. Do you want to do social work?
Otherwise if you're pretty open, maybe you should look into working overseas. The easiest way might be to take up an english-teaching job somewhere.

6. I'm not a great teacher. I don't have the patience, and...
...I'm not bilingual.

2. Hey why not go in for the FBI?
They aren't all that bad. I've met some pretty mellow folks working for the FBI. Great bennies, fascinating work.

4. Well, I'd have to lose about 150 pounds.
I guess that would be a motivater. Also, I only have a bachelor's degree, and my grades aren't fabulous. But of course that doesn't mean I'm Bush, but it does mean that getting into the FBI will be difficult. I have thought about law enforcement, though.

12. Kingfisher Oklahoma...
It's not hard to get away from her, seeing as she doesn't drive outside of that town, ever, but I have to go someplace where I need to take a plane to go see her. Anywhere within the state I don't have an excuse to not go see her.

14. Actually, we will live in NYC for at least a year of our lives...
We have promised ourselves that. The NE has the most beautiful falls in the country. Just don't know when that will happen. And if Bush is reSelected, we're going to be moving to Germany or Italy as soon as possible.

7. You shouldn't have any problems
The jails frequently have a large psychiatric population. If you are interested in social work and have the degree in criminal justice check out local community mental health centers or go ahead and apply for county or state jobs. This is a lengthy process you may want to start soon. The applications are usually a real bitch but once you get into these systems it's fairly easy to move around.

It's soul sucking to work with this population but it can be rewarding as well.

10. have you considered a career as a caped vigilante?
your minor in child development could also come in quite handy. like, you could find a young couple in the backseat of their car and get them in trouble. like Batman, only a one-woman vice squad.

11. Juvie probation officer?
I have no basis for an opinion on the matter, but that was the first thing that came to mind.
