Listening to "best of the beast" earlier, and just ran across this little tidbit:

IRON MAIDEN To Tour In 2005, New Album In 2006
IRON MAIDEN fansite www.maidenfans.com reports:
Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain phoned in to the Eddie Trunk radio show on the NYC Radio last night (Aug 27), and talked for about twenty-five minutes about McBrain Damage (and the possibility of them playing orginal material later) and the future plans of Maiden, which can be summed up in a few important points of which some are new, some are not:
- The band will take the rest of 2004 off, and start preparing another summer festival tour in late April/early May 2005.
- This tour will probably feature three or four weeks of touring in America, in addition to the European dates.
- They will then take the rest of the summer off.
- A new album will be written and recorded in late 2005 and released some time in 2006, followed by another world tour in the same vein as the Dance of Death Tour last year. According to a previous press release, this tour will most likely feature dates in South America.

A long time fan, I've yet to see the band live. American summer festival tour - what else could it be but Ozzfest?
Anyway, Maiden fans - there's more to come. Un-Maiden fans - never mind.
