3. How long the Democrats are going to assume the best of the American people

The thing is, and I'm feeling sour right now, the thing is that the Democrats (particularly Kerry and Edwards) fly this whole "Americans will see through the crap" plane.

Guess what, they won't. You can't just lay the facts out to them. Blame TV, FOX, Clinton, whatever, but I'm afraid Kerry is thinking too well of the American populate. It's okay, he's a Democrat.

And of course Kerry/Edwards should be positive and trust Americans, blah blah blah--but won't SOME Democrat get to taking names and kicking political ass? Sigh.

This is an obnoxiously long response, but you made a great tee and perhaps you can ask Chris whether he has heard about the draft.

You are in for a treat if you are at Harvard. This is the year the Sox win it all, and a native son becomes President! Hope you are enjoying the area. If you get a shot take one of Gregory Nagy's courses on Greek literature, he's a terrific prof. Another one I would recommend is Professor Lamburg-Karlovsky. Also be sure to plumb the depths of the Widener!

I only went there twice, once to copy my LTTE from the chicago tribune, and once to search newspapers for mentions of my edwards shirts (found some!) I have never been to where the books are :(

I'm taking a seminar this semester taught by samuel huntington! He's crazy, but cool.

30. What?!?!!?!? do yourself a favor and spend some time in the stacks

they are truly amazing. You wouldnt believe what you can find in there. It's pretty easy to get lost too which is always fun around closing time. Had a term paper due once and was in the library for research and came across Mario Puzo's _The Godfather_ and started reading it and ended up finishing it just before closing and found myself worrying about escaping the depths of the library and worrying about finishing my paper which was due the next day. There are tons of great little secrets scattered all around Harvard.
