There are millions of people who would watch, say, "Schindler's List" and wonder "How could people let that happen?" and they have no idea that they are letting it happen here. The fucking "PATRIOT Act" alone ought to have people marching in the streets to have Bush exiled to a barren atoll in the Pacific. People are basically lazy, myopic, and selfish. They have their day-to-day comforts. They have cable TV and Starbuck's coffee and go to the beach for a couple of weeks every summer. Do they really care if a few people get locked up because the FBI thinks they're "UnAmerican"? No. Do they care if the poor get poorer and the rich get tax cuts? No. Do they care if the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act are gutted by the agencies that are supposed to enforce them? No. Do they care THAT ARE NO WMD IN IRAQ? No. I don't know who will win on Nov. 2, but I do know this: The USA is going to get the government it deserves either way.

1. That's my feeling

In 2000, we could blame a lackluster Gore campaign, or Nader or the Republicans for stealing the election. But if the American people actually elect George W. Bush for real then there is nobody to blame but them.

I will be extremely cold-hearted towards people who suffer from the consequences of a second Bush term that they themselves voted in.

Oh, you got drafted? You voted for Bush?

Here's a quarter, go call someone who cares.

Your kid was killed in Iraq? You voted for Bush?

You should have known better.

Lost your job? Lost your health insurance? You voted for Bush?

You got what you deserved.

2. I know what you mean and it sickens me to no end that

1/2 the country (or at least that's what the media is leading us to believe) wants to re-(s)elect this bozo. I don't comprehend how most people aren't better off than they were four years ago but are gung-ho to vote for Shrub. I suppose it's because Chimpy has scared them shitless and has had his henchmen (i.e, Rove) shit on the character of our candidate. I'm in VA, and most likely my state will go to Bush. Some might say I should just stay home, but you know what? On Nov., 2, I'm going to vote my conscience, as we all will, and vote Kerry, as he's our best hope to get us back on track.

3. Right here with you, I like the quote, I'm working my ass off.
If we get a fair election we win in a landslide.
