...that such rapid growth, particularly on the AM band, is rare.

Several weeks ago, I mentioned that an old radio colleague of mine had called Air America "a loser format." Well, I heard from him again recently. This time, however, he told me that in the last ratings book, numerous AM stations that have picked up AAR just made the Arbitrons for the first time in years!

For example, AAR's flagship station, WLIB in New York, garnered a .3 share in Danbury, CT. Granted, a .3 share may not sound impressive, but WLIB has never made the Danbury ratings before! It also rated in Stamford, CT, for the first time ever.

Once again, those know-it-alls on the right have shown just how far up their asses they keep their heads!

I listen to WLIB everyday. I don't know what I'd do without it. I love it; can't get enough.

I'm in atlanta and my radio is now fixed on 1690 AA. It is so nice to finally be able to hear messages from the other side. Atl is filled with right wing radio. The "competitor" has already said that there is no audience for liberal radio is Atl. Well, they've got it all wrong. AA is the talk of the town!

Instead of searchng of a station that you want, take what you have (Bork & Rush) and talk about the issues on the air. The people looking for the station you want are alreadhy on your side, you need to talk to everyone else. Mainstream talk tadio is where you need to vent your issues. 24. I was shocked to discover WINZ in Miami this August

Had been in Saratoga for a month and no idea Air America was succeeding and expanding, then I stumbled onto WINZ while 200 miles north of Miami and looking for a Dolphin pregame show. What a salvation that was the next few weks, dodging hurricanes but some competent radio for a change.

Now I'm back in Las Vegas and pissed this market has not picked up the network. It could really help in November. I found Ed Schultz at midday, but he is sandwiched by righties.
