Name that tune: Early 1990s electric dance tune, "I got the power!"
repeated, courtesy of a sample, it seems, by a female singer. I can't believe I don't remember the name of the song or the artists, but I can't.

4. Hey! That's not it!
That's Everybody Dance Now, not I Got the Power. But maybe it is C&C Music Factory.

It was by Snap (i had the tape)

of course, a similar "I've got the Power" song was recorded with different lyrics by Chill Rob G.....The version by Snap is the best-known and more common one...both came out in Spring of 1990.

BTW: the vocals were by Penny Ford

9. "like the crack of a whip I snap attack, front to back in this thing
called rap..." - am I close? "Bring the bass, turn up the treble. Radical rhyme day and night all the time..."
