1. I hope he's okay.
I've been thinking about him, too.

2. I haven't heard from him....

but I still am him. ;) I'm doing OK. The pain has subsided somewhat. I've found out that I don't qualify for indigent care under state law. My mother in law came up to look after me/help with the baby. She was great about it. Of course, she really will take any excuse to come and see the baby. She used to be an ICU nurse before she retired. Between my wife and MIL, I'm under 24 hour observation, even while sleeping. We've scrounged some equipment (I don't want to know where it came from) At last reading, my BP was 111/89, pulse was 79 bpm, and I'm on some kind of monitor that's supposed to alert them if my heart stops. I've got a doctor's appointment scheduled, and if there's an event in the meantime, I'll go to the ER. My wife's taking off some time to be with me (really, to watch me. I'm staring to get paranoid. ;) ) She's not a happy camper. Her father died of asbestosis shortly after telling her "I'll be fine" so there are some issues there when I tell her the same thing.

In 40 hours, I'll be covered. I'm gonna make it. The worst part is that I don't have enough breath to sing quietly to the little one for more than a couple of verses.

BTW, it means a lot to me that y'all are thinking about me. I surely do appreciate it.

3. Prayers to you. Please, once you are covered, do not pass go,
do not wait for the doctor's appointment, DO go to the ER.

Please.
