Way to go, Cubs! - sarcasm
Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 03:50 PM by tcfrogs
LaTroy Hawkins just blew another save, tied 2-2 in top of the 9th. I think this was his 8th or 9th blown save of the year. EDIT-it WAS his 9th blown save.

I'm not even necessarily a Cubs fan, but since I live here, gotta root for the home teams. God, it's gotta be frustrating to be a die hard fan.

2. sorry, i cant mourn cubs losing. but i appreciate that since
you live there, youre trying to do the right thing by rooting for the home team.

weird how when good players move along (hawkins from minnesota, giambi from oakland), things dont work out as well for them with their new team.

im watching minnesota right now play the yankees and johan santana is something else. hope they dont trade him.....

5. Santana won't be eligible for free agency for a few years yet
So, I wouldn't worry about seeing him depart until 2008/2009 or so.

4. I grew up in Fenway Park
Watching the Cubs is just like seeing the Red Sox. Deja Vu all over again.

6. Cubs now trailing 4 - 2 in 12th inning

1) Have your "closer" blow the lead in the 9th

2) Give up 2-run homer in extra innings

3) Leave Wrigley/Fenway thinking "There's always next year."

Cubs/Red Sox - interchangeable
