How my life has changed now that I can't get DU at work

  • Around 10am in the morning I get this feeling that I've forgotten something and then I realize I haven't seen Matcom's buttcrack walking up and down the steps
  • My cubicle neighbors haven't quite caught on the to thrill of when I say CONFESS!!!!!
  • When I finished my presentation today, I ended it with "This is how we can make our department more efficient, now ask me anything"
  • Cat threads, no one really seems to care when I talk about Abbott's piddling problem or how Evita likes to cuddle with me in bed at nights.
  • I never realized just how clueless sus is when it comes to geography. But she was amazed when she thought Delaware and Ohio had the same idiotic voter registration laws
  • A co-worker showed me a funny picture of his kids and I have this overwhelming desire to CAPTION
  • I've become addicted to Media Matters
  • I actually got all my assignments not only done on time, but actually completed earlier than expected and with additional information added to them
  • I miss all you guys and I'll probably get 3 replies to this post before it sinks into obliviation

Miss you all!!

1. We miss you!
But your absence makes your presence all that much sweeter for its liminality, like a singular excellent chocolate truffle.

:hugs:

"now ask me anything" - great!

3. I had an early meeting this morning
reassignment of duties -- my workload will increase substantially.

So I will be joining you as a "DU-less during workhours" person real soon,

*sigh*

It was great while it lasted.

4. Fill us in on
Abbott's piddling problem.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Unless Abbott is human. In that case, forget it.

6. Abbott is a reformed cat piddler
He's learned his lessons and now uses the litter box again.

7. NEVER LEAVE AGAIN!!!
*grabs you by the knees and hangs on for dear life* :)

When you aren't here I have to put up with all the obnoxious boys all by myself.

And I miss fighting about football and then making up. :)

I have been extremely paranoid since last week since I could no longer get on DU when connected through my work's VPN. I know that it's no consolation to you, but this makes me a little less paranoid that they have been scanning my PC or something. I think our companies must use the same filtering software (is it "SmartFilter"), and they've recently added DU to forbidden sites. Does it come up as "Politics, Religion, Chat" ??

Can you also get to FR still?

swamp water.

You are definately missing from my life on my days off and on the many days I work evenings or nights and veg out here all day.

11. I sympathise. My office closed down net surfing
to all but one computer in every department a couple of months ago. We can log on to company sites, get company mail, etc. But no one can cruise their favourites or get personal mail.

It's frustrating in many ways, but I understand. It had to been costing the company a freakin' fortune given how many of us slacked off on the net all day.
