I Saw My First Jackie Chan Movie Tonight... And I LOVED IT!!!
Did you ever see "The Tuxedo"?? I laughed. I laughed. I was on the edge of my seat. Fun stunts. Fun special effects. Clever plot. Comic book-style villains and heroes. I laughed some more... and Jackie Chan is just adorable!! His stunts are very impressive.

So... if I liked "The Tuxedo" (which kind of reminded me of another movie I like, "True Lies") what's another Jackie Chan movie that you'd recommend?

-- Allen

P.S. Don't flame me for just now "discovering" Jackie Chan! Sometimes I'm slow.

6. Not one of his best
You have lot of really fun film to view now. Chan has an enormous body of work behind him ... at its worst, amusing and at its best spectacularly funny. Nuke some popcorn and enjoy.

On the more serious side, check out Chow Yung Fat's early work with John Woo ... especially "A Better Tomorrow" ... that one is simply a MUST SEE.

9. Oh there are so many!
I never remember the plots....the stunts are spectacular though.

Beautifully choreographed. Stunningly dangerous.

Does them all himself. And lately there are 'outtakes' at the end with the goofs. Ow, ow, ow!

Great jokes too.

First Stirke

Rumble in the Bronx

Supercop

Operation Condor

Rush Hour

Twin Dragons

Mr Nice Guy

Shanghai Noon

Rush Hour 2

11. My first Jackie Chan...
...was Shanghai Noon. He and Owen Wilson played off each other brilliantly. So then I watched Shanghai Knights, which wasn't as good.

13. Jackie Chan is incredible!
His movies are mindless bliss, and his stunt out-takes are frighteningly joyous.

17. I think he's broken
every bone in his body at one time or another.

Yet he carries on.

Incredible...and crazy ...thing to do for entertainment.

But his movies are certainly that!

20. That is very funny...
But you should also see Shanghi Noon and Shanghi Knights. Very funny movie, and you also have eye candy in the form of Owen Wilson. Most of the American comedies Jackie Chan incorporates some kind omage to his favorite legends. Like in Shanghi Knights, he does a little omage to Gene Kelly. He also dislikes the use of guns. Just thought I'd throw that in there. Rush Hour one and two are great moovies. Very funny guy.

21. Don't see any more of his sub-par American crap..
"Who Am I?", "Shaolin Wooden Men" and "Supercop" are a hoot. It's not that his American films are terrible, but when Jackie was younger, he could do some amazing things without being tied down by idiotic American movie cliches.
