The Official List of Great Soundtracks, Lousy Movies
Let's start a list where the soundtrack of the movie was far better than the movie:

Chariots of Fire

3. Judgement Night
Fused Hip Hop Artists with Rock groups, sadly starting a trend that won't go away. The Slayer/Ice-T collab is gold, though.

Rather, the only decent part of it was when the Yardbirds played.

8. sticking to Antonioni
Sorry, you reminded me, the Zabriske Point soundtrack! Movie, lousy, soundtrack, intense! Patti Page, Jerry Garcia, Pink Floyd all together!

yeah, Blow Up blew too...what was it with him and doing films in English?

20. You get Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck together on "Stroll On" here...
The rest of the film was scored by Herbie Hancock, and it's not bad.

13. Doctor Zhivago was terrific! You don't know what you're talking about!
You are TOTALLY 100% WRONG

Seriously though, I think the soundtrack complements the movie quite well. I guess I can see how people might generally be bored by it.

I would like to nominate the first two Pink Panther/Inspector Closeau movies. Vapid fun, sure, but it wouldn't be worth as much of the viewer's time without Mancini's brilliant score or that Italian actress's little song and dance.

Actually, the movies wasn't that bad. Gregory Peck, Charlton Heston, Burl Ives. The score was on par with The Magnificent Seven.

the soundtrack is great, the movie considerably less so, despite its all-star cast...I liked the film for awhile but it got worse and worse and the ending made me fucking hate it!

24. "Out of Africa" has a gorgeous soundtrack. The film, however...
is the slowest paced film I've ever seen. You have to mark your time watching this film with a calendar.

That said, the soundtrack composed by John Barry is absolutely beautiful.
