Anyone else coming down with something?
Well it's that time of year again. I have noticed suspicious coughing, sneezing, and sniffling around the office for the past week, and this morning I woke up with swollen glands, a scratchy throat, and feeling tired all over. Ugh! I hate getting sick, especially since it's unavoidable in an office with recirculated air and windows that don't open.

So I took massive doses of Vitamin C and the zinc nasal spray. Any other good remedies to ward off a cold?

1. Yeah, I've had it for five weeks...
There's some real badass virus going around here. First it's a bad sore throat, then a cough, then sinus congestion, and then a cough again PLUS a sore throat, and now sinus congestion again.

It's almost like it's two colds in one, with a respite of 3 days in between. Very nasty. Quite miserable.

2. Everyone in my office has something
I'm thinking of getting a bubble to live in. It'll make it hard to type, though. :D

5. Would it be rude to wear a surgical mask to work?
I'm thinking about it.

3. I had a headache, then my skin hurt (fever comin') and sore throat
and I mean a SORE like you just ate glass sore throat. Fever went away after a day or so, took antibiotics for the sore throat in case it wanted to become a secondary infection.

My friend and my mom had the version with a more severe headache and fainting (!) or feeling faint.

6. Serious allergy season is also beginning here in Houston...
Mold spores are high right now. In my experience, stress can also worsen symptoms.

A couple of mimosas help with vitamin C & the stress...
