The lady across the partition from keeps bitching about my music.
No matter how softly it's playing, it's always "Where is that music coming from? I can't hear anything but that loud music when I have my hearing aid in."

It's funny that she doesn't complain when the women who work with her are talking and laughing ten times louder than any CD I listen to. Grrrrrrrr......

1. please use headphones
It used to drive ME nuts when co-workers would play music softly. You can hear SOMETHING but not clearly enough to make it out, or enjoy it. It's maddening.

6. It's like part of a cublicle wall, but it's longer and taller.
It separates the row of desks where I work from the one where she works.

But the point is that no matter how loud it gets in the office, she only ever complains about my music. Nobody else ever says anything. It's like this woman hates me or something.

11. Courteous, my ass. NOBODY in this office is courteous.
Right now I'm overhearing three extremely loud conversations.

15. And with headphones you might not have to listen to them...
so headphones will make both you and your coworkers happier. Seems like the best solution.

5. stream Air America and
really drive her mad.

When she complains, just say you are trying to stay informed about the future of your country.

10. Actually, she's quite liberal.
Today she was talking about the Republican brochures that were hanging from every doorknob in her apartment building.

8. Hearing aids do weird amplification to some frequencies
might be the case with your music. My father in law has a similar problem.

16. I can't work when there is music on...
I can tune out conversation just fine, but if there's music on, I tend to concentrate on the music. Worse, if it's something I like, I get up and jump around and even dance. Maybe she secretly wants to get up and dance.

17. Get some headphones.
That way she won't be bothered by your music and you might not be bothered by other noise.
