4. Nah, not Selma
Consider the number of times Selma has dated, married, etc.

But the only time you really see Patty with anyone is when Principal Skinner tried to take her out. And, as you may recall, she was not interested in him at all.

Besides, in an episode with a gay pride parade, the "in the closet" float had Smithers and one of Marge's sisters.

I guess this is why you figurd it was Selma. But I had a feeling it was patty.

I am way too obsessed with the Simpsons.

"For months, since word that one of the Simpson's characters would come out, speculation has been rampant that it would be Smithers, the effete yes man to Mr Burns."

Please, people, effete is not the same thing as effeminate!

ef·fete (ĭ-fçt')
adj.

  1. Depleted of vitality, force, or effectiveness; exhausted: the final, effete period of the baroque style.

  2. Marked by self-indulgence, triviality, or decadence: an effete group of self-professed intellectuals.

  3. Overrefined; effeminate. (n.b. I suspect the only reason this is here is because of rampant misuse--Norma Loquendi strikes again!)

  4. No longer productive; infertile.

On edit: OK, I realize DUers didn't write this article. And I apologize for being such a grammar queen.

7. Whoo hoo! I called it when the leak first came out.
I just knew it would be Patty, because she never dates.
