1. Red, white, whatever.
It's all good. Plus it's great for freaking out your gentile friends!

8. I'm yet to dine on that delicacy.
The one thing I don't think I'd go for is that cream herring. That's one of those foods that only the old guys at Temple eat. I admire them for being so hard-core about the deli food, but I've got to draw the line somewhere. Lox (which many of my gentile friends swear is raw) are great, and we've already gone over the gefilte fish.... but that herring (or as my dad calls it hur-ing) is just plain nasty.

Oh, and the pickled green tomatoes are better than regular pickles. Where I come from in WASP land, eating one of those gets you some serious funny looks.

2. sometimes you need the power
of the white. to really kick it over the top.

sometimes you want the sweetness of the beets.

play it by ear. both are good. as long as you use a lot of horseradish.

YUMMMMMMM.

7. Have to grow up with the stuff...
in order to appreciate it. For everyone else, it's an acquired taste. By the way...white...red is for my mother's tough as leather brisket.
