Now let's count the advertisers:

AMD
Marlboro
Shell
Bridgestone
Fuji

and two others I can't quite see.

Now, what do these companies DO?

AMD makes microprocessors.
Marlboro makes flammable cancer sticks.
Shell collects and sells oil.
Bridgestone makes tires, probably from oil sold to them by Shell.
Fuji makes film.

And I didn't need a racecar game to inform me of this. Which is strange as, apart from the logo, nothing is said about the companies, so if I had to rely on them I'd still not have a clue. So why do they bother?

BTW: You missed the exploitation pic, that tries to tell us all that not all racecar drivers are gay: :-)

5. Vodafone (telecom)
And that Fuji is the TV channel that broadcasted the race in Japan, not the film maker. Probably two parts of the same conglomerate though.

And yes, the advertising goes WAY past the "what's the f***ing point?" threshold.
