Are YOU a fan of old B & W government/corporate films???
This is a great site, BUT, the video that Rick Prelinger has put together for download. It's called "Panorama Ephemera" and it is an AMAZING collection of those 50s and 60s films I love so much!!!

http://www.archive.org/movies/details-db.php?collection=feature_films&collectionid=panorama_ephemera&from=mainSpotlight

It's an hour and a half long, and you can stream it OR download in a variety of formats... BRILLIANT!!!

And you'll learn something: Did you know painting your house white with good quality house paint will protect you in case of nuclear attack???

1. THANK YOU!!!
I am one of those odd souls who really digs stuff like this. In fact, I plan to incorporate this footage into my multimedia presentation for my gigs (if it's legal, that is)!

How completely cool!!

4. There is a bit in it that the Boys at MST3K used!!!
The kid borrowing Dad's truck to go into town, only to witness his friends in a convertible hit a train!!! The engineers reactions are priceless!!!

6. "Could you identify..."
"...this bucket of your brother?"

Then the cop goes nutzoid at the end: "He's snapped!"

A hilarious MST3k short! (<Al_Franken_voice>Now on DVD!<\Al_voice>))

The other one about railroad accidents is also hilarious! "Come on over to this side! Obey the toaster!"

5. Prellinger's archives are INCREDIBLE
Sometimes he gives shows and shows a bunch of his films. It's really interesting to see those things again. I remember them from when I was a child.
