I met Velma D last night and met Orange County Dems this morning!

Got together last night with Short Bus, VelmaD, and Dark Phenyx. Had a great time talking about all y'all. ;-) Plus dissing Dubya and talking about our local officials.

Btw, VelmaD does make great brownies. :9 :D DP drank so much Velma had to drive him home...an hour away. Hee Hee. I think between him and Short Bus there are no Yuenglings in Orange County anymore. :P

This morning I went to the Orange County Dem Legislative Breakfast held at the William Friday Center at UNC in Chapel Hill. It was great to meet our judges, our wonderful secretary of state, Elaine Marshall, our very own US rep, David Price. Erskine Bowles and the K/E both send reps.

Topics covered included healthcare (there is a constitutional amendment they are trying to bring to a vote in the NC legislature that healthcare is a RIGHT!), the war in Iraq, the wonderful proactivism of Orange County Dems.

The ballroom was FULL! They sold about 400 tickets and I think everyone showed up this morning. :-) We all got fed a wonderful country breakfast with eggs and sausage, bacon, grits, biscuits, and fresh fruit and bagels. :9

Whew! I'm going to relax by doing some housework. :P

hardly ever shows up at cross the board events. That's one of the not so great things about him. Oh well.
