For me, it's Lucky Charms. It seems wrong to eat it as an adult. It's loaded with sugar. But damn, ya gotta love the marshmellows.

2. I must admit to an occasional cereal craving
For me, it's usually Total Raisin Bran or Special K with Red Berries but every now and then I knosh out on Alpha Bits (and feel ill for the rest of the day).

I never ate cereal much in the morning - always liked it as an evening snack.

But, when did they stop putting toys in the bottom of the box? You never get a prize anymore. x(

14. Same here
It's also good if you smash it up and use it to bread fish or chicken.

24. Same here
By far the best combo of sweet and crunchy.

But, um, I hope you're kidding about using it to bread fish. Chicken I could almost see...

26. Nope! Not kidding
fish, but cut it 50/50 with regular bread crumbs and serve with a sour sauce, not tartar sauce. It's my Dad's favorite thing to cook!

LOL! Maybe it's an acquired taste??

27. Hmmm, lol, okay!
It sounds interesting the way you put it, now. My partner is a bit of a food snob, so I doubt this will ever get tried in my house, though! :)

19. Nothing like fighting your siblings to gain ownership of
a 10 cent toy. Dug through many boxes of cereal for that.

4. My guilty cereal pleasure is Captain Crunch
Edited on Wed Oct-20-04 12:46 PM by tridim
but I usually eat Crispix, which is a bit more nutritious.

Edit: I used to like "S'mores Crunch" but it seems to not be available any more.

used to be called "Super Sugar Crisp"? What marketing genius came up with that name?

Spock says: "Space energy comes from Sugar Smacks" :D

Apparently the two cereals in question were the same stuff, but from different companies.

8. Froot Loops
They just make me smile to eat them. No milk, just right outta the box. Also, I love the "variety packs"--with 8 or 10 boxes of different cereals, except the TOTAL always gets left and the Cocoa Krispies go first. (I think it is just plain wrong to eat chocolate for breakfast, but my daughter has no such reservations.)

13. I'm a "low sugar" purist: rice crispies, cheerios, raisin bran for me.....
But, I'm carb sensitive, so I have to avoid like the plague-- even with sugar substitute. I could literally sit down and eat about 6 or 8 bowls with milk for dinner in the winter time, if I could-- and then wake up craving it in the morning!
