On June 14, 1994, Madison Square Garden exploded as the New York Rangers ice hockey team beat the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 in Game 7 of the playoffs, emerging as the Stanley Cup winners for the first time in 54 years. Founded in 1926, the Rangers won their first Stanley Cup against the Montreal Maroons in 1928, then won again in 1933 and 1940. Yet further championships eluded them until their 1994 victory, which was due in large part to Mike Keenan, the team’s coach, and Mark Messier, the captain. It's not going to be that big of a disappointment.

NYC has had the ticker tape parade, and whatever else people do for that....no biggie.

The worst part, I'd imagine, will be the Sox and fans gloating. That's like anything though, LOL. And the Sox have had a long road, so that will be nice for them.

As a default Yanks fan (I live in Jersey) that's my .02.
