Shaun of the Dead was fantastic!
I haven't met many people who got to see this, but omigod, it was so funny! I'm a person who seldom laughs out loud, and I was still laughing as I left the theater after this one!

I can only think to compare it to "American Werewolf in London," the last time humor, horror, and a knowingness of both genres were combined this well. And Shaun is much better than AWiL. More touching, funnier, and without the frat-boy smarminess of that earlier film.

One of the best times I've had at a movie all year. Granted, I love zombie films anyway.

1. I saw it this weekend too -
It was pretty funny - and you know it could never have been produced here in the U.S.

I hope to see more from the director -

2. I saw it...LOVED IT!
You're right...you laugh all the way out of theater. It was an excellent blend of deadpan (no pun intended) humor and gross-out gore. The fat guy...I forget his name already, Shaun's friend...really grows on you.

3. I hadn't even heard of this movie until a friend of mine...
insisted that I had to see it, and talked me into going opening weekend.

I loved it. Very few horror-comedies work well for me, because they don't get the proportions of horror and comedy right. This one gets it right - fresh, funny and scary.

"Shaun" rocks!

4. You guys should all buy "Spaced" on DVD......
Genius britcom with LOADS of injokes / scenes stolen from movies (you'll have endless fun trying to remember where gags came from).

Simon Pegg (the star of Shaun otD) stars in it and it's hilarious.

On another note, I saw him live supporting Steve Coogan on a comedy tour and he was a comedy genius.

There are 3 (I think) series of Spaced available on DVD - HIGHLY recommended.
