The wind is blowing so hard here ...
It knocked over a large heavy pot on the patio, the front door rattled. It has been blowing hard all day. I'm guessing that this isn't the best day to restart my walking program. Darn. :D

2. Don't they call that
the "chinook?" Same as that nifty bookstore downtown in the Springs? I spent a few months there back in '81. A beautiful place.

4. I think so. I usually associate it with springtime, though.
And, alas, the Chinook Bookshop closed this year. The Noyes decided to close up shop to retire and not to sell the business. They didn't want anyone compromising their reputation for excellence. They are missed. The Chinook was one of the best independent bookstores in the region.

But downtown is thriving with new businesses. And the park has a great, funky new fountain called "Uncle Wilbur".

5. Oh, that's sad about the bookstore
When I was there I lived with a family friend up on Mesa Av in Broadmoor and hung out at the Golden Bee. Had a great time but missed my friends in FLA and moved back to Tampa. Now I'm back in the town I grew up in and we "may" get SNOW Monday night. I'll put on my boots and walk to the local middle school on Tuesday morn to vote for the NEXT (honest) PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, JOHN F. KERRY !!!:bounce:

6. We have one of those
"Weather Stations" that my brother-in-law gave us on his visit here from FLA last year. Has a little thingy you mount on the porch and another thingy for inside. It shows outside and inside temp and humidity but not wind speed.
