Anybody in SE PA get caught in the flood waters today?
It took me nearly two hours to get to work today, when it normally takes 25 minutes. I missed one class entirely. 2/3 of the way through the first class I made it for, they called the school together to announce that we were evacuating. (There's a large stream that floods into the school entrance. Some kids were stuck there all night during Hurricane Floyd, but that was before I started teaching there.) It took my wife three hours to make a similar 25 minute trip.

So, anybody else have problems?

1. No, But....
If Isabel continues the way it's going, count on getting slammed again.

4. It's bad in Northern Delaware
I was suppose to go in for a meeting today at work (today is my normal day off) and the waters were horrible. I live about a mile outside of downtown Wilmington and the underpass I go through was deep with water yet I drove my Toyota Corolla through it. However, when I saw people pushing their cars in front of Kahunaville I turned around and went home. The person I was running the meeting with said she really didn't need me there and thought it was best I stay home.

I'm a little worried about Isabel, if she bypasses that hump called North Carolina, we could be in serious trouble in the MidAtlantic region!

5. Yes, bbernardini, serious problems
I live in Ches Co., my sump pump has been running continuously since
2 am, and there's still 4 inches of water in my basement. I believe my oil
furnace is ruined and quite possibly my water heater too.

Well, it's not as if a major hurricane is headed our way.

Oh, wait. It is . . .
