I just picked up my copy! I've been waiting for this for years!

1. Does it run as slowly as Halo 1?

30 FPS is unacceptable, IMHO.

I have to go teach in a few minutes, but when I get home I'll find out.

You're right that Halo 1 had some fits and starts occasionally, but it's such a great game that I don't mind.

3. I'm too used to PC first person shooters.

I just can't stand the action moving so slowly.

Halo was originally slated to come out on PC about four years ago. Then Bungie was bought by Micro$oft, and they said "make it an XBox game"
When Halo was finally "converted" to PC, it ran like crap. Total crap.
And they left out all the cool stuff. The game was supposed to track your skills during the single player campaign and recommend you for specific slots in what was supposed to be squad and objective based multiplayer. If you were good at sniping in the SP, you'd be recommended for a recon and sniping role during multiplayer missions.
Then it went to XBox, which at the time had no internet play, and poof.

My current system runs Halo PC just fine, and it feels much better to be able to snipe with a mpouse and keyboard.

But I'm waiting for Half-Life 2. That's out next week.

5. Yeah, I'm waiting on HL2 as well.

That game should rule.

6. FPS with joysticks just doesn't work. Period.

People might think it does, but they just haven't played with a mouse.
