8. I watched for a long time

before I had the courage to post. I was amazed at how much people on here knew. As niave as I was/am, it was intimidating to venture out and post. It is good they watch, they are learning, thinking. Many people are content to learn, listen and think without putting in their two cents worth.

An influential employee of voting machine maker Diebold Election Systems left the company recently to take a job as elections manager for a California county.

Deborah Seiler, a sales representative for the beleaguered voting company, was hired a week ago and started Monday in Solano County, northeast of San Francisco in California's wine country. The position puts her second in command of elections in the county, under the registrar of voters.

but in 2004, Bush got 4,403,495 (minus 163,934 !) and Kerry got 5,427,055 (minus 434,148 !!)

It would seem CA couldn't "go bush" in the electoral college, but there's all those "Man Date" "popular votes" ... maybe Seiler was helping with that effort (bush+/kerry-)...
