It's your favorite whining cigarette quitter again
Okay, I had my last ciggie before bed last night. That means it has been 16 hours since I last smoked.

Hubby was good - he promised to only smoke outside and has been true to his word. But I see him, going out there and I know what he's doing.

I know what he's doing ...

Weren't the working on a cancer-free cigarette? Where the hell is it already? I WANT ONE. NOW.

2. No, you don't want it
You want to be free of the regular kind of cigarette. And you will. Hang on.

Wait until the husband starts to stink when he comes back inside, and you'll know that's what you used to smell like.

Why not try the gum or a patch?

3. Thanks for reminding me!!!!
Every time I think about starting again I remember the hell of quitting. You have my sympathies and congrats, it sucks.

Remember, you are not denying yourself anything, you are choosing to do this! I always told myself I could drive right down to the store and get a pack so I didn't feel quite so 'deprived' when I framed it like that.

4. May I recommend an alternative?
I never liked the smell, the disease or the fact that, in California, it is only legal to smoke in a sealed, blacked-out room between 9PM and 1AM.

That's why I smoke marijuana.

The smell is very nice and fades away quickly. AND.. You don't have the stigma that cigarette smokers have here.

Besides, the smoking devices are so much cooler than little boxes with disease warnings on them.

If you're having a hard time, it's worth a try.

7. Dude, the only thing that's keeping me sane
is blueberry bud and a nicotine patch.

8. Keep thinking all that money that tobacco companies give to BushInc
and the GOP.

I'm sure you can find other causes you'd rather give to than the nurturing of fascism.

12. Keep it up!
My last cigarette was on June 30, 1998, after nearly 15 years of smoking. You can do this! It's hard, I know it, but so very worth it.

(My husband quit smoking about six weeks after I did...maybe yours will too?)

15. Not to trash your husband, but...
If he was _really_ concerned with you quitting, maybe he'd do it too? Mind you, thhis is coming from a guy who had his last cigarette about 40 hours ago, along with his girlfriend. Hang in there!

18. The decision will be much easier when you are on the floor
upper body in pain and can neither get up or catch your breath. If someone is around and can get you to the hospital in time, the quad bypass to replace your scared/clogged arteries is also a decision enhancer. been there and did that and got the t shirt to prove it. throw em in the trash while you can!

19. Hot Sauce, Hot Sauce, Hot Sauce...
...really works. I'm going to keep saying this every chance I get.

Sip it right out of the bottle. It replaces the irritant sensation you used to get from smoking.
