When the queen went into heat, it sounded like something out of 'Night of the Living Dead.' Every time she yowled, the tom came a-runnin'. I was impressed with the sheer quantity of coupling that occurred - literally hundreds of times! After each event, the queen would roll around on her back totally spazzed-out, sometimes propelling herself all over the floor by digging in her back claws and kicking. The tom would stare at her with a detached bemusement, then go back to his nap...until she yowled again.

These matings produced two beautiful litters; some of their progeny are still living with friends of mine.
