I believe it's the correct term among the woo-woos. At DC's last pride festival my lesbian artist cousin (www.rosencone.com) had a booth set up next to a booth of woo-woos who were "fluffing" people's auras for free.

It sounded sexual to me too... I fully expected a police bust... but it turs out that they the process involved several people forming a circle around someone (who was either seated or standing) and then they proceeded to wave about colored scarves in the air (as if trying to shoo away flies).

It was all rather comical looking.
